voynich manuscript

projects

Recently, I discovered the Voynich manuscript, a mysterious 400-year-old or older document of 250 pages, written in an unknown script, surrounded by detailed color drawings of flora, zodiac charts, naked women, and elaborate plumbing. Clever hoax or elven cipher, the document remains a fun conversation piece.

The manuscript currently resides in the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library Collection at Yale. Click below to find large, detailed color images of every page in the manuscript. Supposedly you can buy TIFFs from the library, but I don’t know how much they cost or if they are even any better than the images available publicly for free.

I’d like to have a complete and reasonably accurate reproduction as a coffee table tome.
